ARIES Admin/Profile - Adding New Users

  1. Navigate to ARIES Admin V2

    1. Navigate directly to https://aries.autoreturn.com/profile

    2. OR select Admin from the Menu dropdown (from either ARIES Dispatch or ARIES Impound)

  2. Select “Manage” next to the agency or tow company that you want to add a user for.

  3. Select “Users” from the top navigation bar.

  4. Select the “+ Add User” button.

  5. Fill out the required fields.

      Enter their Email

    2. Select “Is Available” to make sure that email is not already in use by someone else in ARIES

    3. Enter their First Name

    4. Enter their Last Name

      1. Note: Once you enter the First Name and Last Name, the Short Name should auto-populate. You may create a different Short Name if you’d like, but you don’t need to.

    5. Enter a temporary password that you will send to this user to log in for the first time.

      1. Note: When they log in with the temporary password for the first time, they will be required to change their password.

    6. Enter the same temporary password in to the “Confirm Password” field

    7. Check the “Active” checkbox to activate this user

      1. Note: When you want to deactivate a user, you would uncheck this box

    8. Select the module(s) you want to give this user access to

      1. Dispatch - this is the ARIES Dispatch module that is usually used by officers and dispatchers to request live tows that are digitally dispatched to tow companies.

      2. Impound - this is the ARIES Impound module that is usually used by impound workers to check in vehicles to impound lots and storage facilities and manage vehicle inventory.

      3. Admin - this is the ARIES Admin module that you are using right now. This module is where users are added, updated, and removed/deactivated.

      4. AVP - this module is no longer used. You can disregard it.

    9. Select the “+ Add Permission Group” and add at least one permission group for each module your user has access to

      1. ADS - these permission groups refer to the ARIES Dispatch module

      2. IMS - these permission groups refer to the ARIES Impound module

      3. ADM - these permission groups refer to the ARIES Admin module

      4. RPT - these permission groups refer to the ability to see reporting in ARIES.

    10. Select the default region for this user. Most users will only be active in a single region.

  6. Select “Save” at the bottom of the page to create and activate this new user.

  7. Send the new user their temporary password and have them log in at http://aries.autoreturn.com/
