Aries Release Notes: August 26, 2026
Multi-vehicle tow requests roll out to all regions, plus fixes across Dispatch, Impound, and Marketplace.
This release rolls out multi-vehicle tow requests to all remaining regions, resequences the Request Web intake form, and fixes a long list of issues across Dispatch, Impound, and Marketplace.
New
Multi-vehicle tow requests, now everywhere
Depending on your region's configuration, a single tow request can now include multiple vehicles instead of just one. This is rolling out to every region that hasn't already moved over. A few things come with it:
Towing companies can accept or reject individual vehicles within a multi-vehicle request instead of the whole job, and see each vehicle's own ETA and assigned driver.
Dispatchers can redispatch an entire incident to a new company in one move instead of reassigning each vehicle separately.
Redispatching one vehicle on a multi-vehicle incident now correctly accounts for rejections, so a vehicle doesn't keep getting sent back to a driver who can't take it.
Regions using closest-to dispatch logic can now use multi-vehicle requests for incidents with up to 2 vehicles.
Request Web intake form, resequenced
The tow intake flow on Request Web now follows the same order as Dispatch Web, and what used to take several steps now fits on one page for faster entry.
Improved
Faster updates on dispatch screens
Dispatch tow lists now update automatically as new information comes in, instead of waiting on a manual refresh.
Fixed
Dispatch
You can now add notes while completing a notification. Previously the text box wouldn't accept typing.
On multi-vehicle incidents, editing the second or third vehicle now shows that vehicle's own details and history instead of always showing the first vehicle's.
The name entered for a custom destination is now saved and shows up correctly when you reopen the tow.
Decoding a VIN for the first time now fills in the vehicle model along with the make. Previously you had to look it up twice.
The tow status dropdown on the Tow Details page now opens reliably, so you're not stuck after the first status change.
Status updates coming from TowMagic with an invalid VIN are no longer rejected outright.
Redispatching a tow from a TowMagic company dispatcher to a Dispatch Mobile driver no longer creates a duplicate job on the TowMagic side.
Alerts and internal notes on the Dispatch home page now update automatically, and notes no longer show to users who shouldn't see them.
The Active Tows list now keeps regions in the right order, drops a region once its last tow clears, and no longer shows regions you've filtered out.
Request & Copy no longer throws an error after creating a tow. The tow form now stays open with the new tow's information pre-filled.
Impound
Generating a lien letter from an HTML template no longer shows an error when the document actually generated successfully.
Voided storage transfers now display clearly on the storage screen instead of looking active.
Engine and drive type selections are no longer cleared after a new vehicle is created.
The notifications counter no longer drops by more than one when the same notification is attended from multiple tabs or devices at once.
Editing lien or vehicle condition details no longer overwrites the original lien notification date with today's date.
Sending a DPO request for a name that includes a % symbol no longer fails.
Marketplace and Auctions
Vehicle license expiration now transfers to Marketplace listings.
Vehicles that were unwound and voided on Marketplace no longer show as still published on the Aries side.
Republishing an auction with vehicles that are already sold or pending payment no longer sends an incorrect removal request, and the misleading warning is gone.
Fixed a case where two auctions could end up scheduled with the same vehicles at once.
